What do you guys think about Busse being stocked
with musky-slob-o-sauruses???

Will it take away from the bass fishing?

What bass fishing? It can't hurt!

Maybe the bucket-heads will target the Muskie!

Most anglers go onto a lake and see what everyone else is doing, not what they're not doing.
Work is for those who can't catch fish!
As Captain Phil said, "You can watch $hit happen, you can make $hit happen or you can wonder WTF happend!"

I wonder how they taste when they're that small? maybe i'll live up to my asian prophecy and start eating them. I really think it was a waste to put them in there.

Yea...there are other posts about that...many of the Muskies are finding a nice home in the Creek below the dam....and also finding themselves in the Buckets of some Westerners

Yeah, i remember when i was younger when i actually fished Busse with my dad. We lived in Berwyn at the time and fished there more than i have now that i live in Winfield...go figure, but somehow someway, my dad pulled in a super FAT 4lberish largie on a freekin night crawler harness with a 6in creme worm right over that gravel flat in the south pool. I got one the same size on a spinnerbug north of higgins road, we had our own pond prowler type boat and i wanted to throw at all those trees and stumps up there, whuddayah know, there was a bass on one of em.

That experience and from what i heard there's always been very decent pike and bass populations in that lake, but i dont know anything about it from recent years.

But with muskies now, who knows, i just hope they dont flood ALL of Dup and Cook Co lakes with muskies cuz all the cheeze-heads wont travel to wisconsin OR stay in wisconsin where obviously muskies thrive...hmm...i love muskies and all, but i mean, its kinda hard to have a GOOD musky fishery in the forest preserve lakes as small as they are, AND still have good bass fishing. I dont mind traveling somewhere to specifically fish for muskies, in state or out of state, but ALOT of small muskies and pike and not too many bass is NOT appealing at all...

The Dup lakes, i believe, have obviously great bass potential, but I just hope thats it for the musky stocking...

if you want to talk about stocking, what they should be doing is stocking deep quarry with smallies!!!
