Looks like there are not a lot of Fox River fishermen out here. I hit the Fox in my waders after work on monday and just got one little dink. Only had about an hour to fish though.

The south river would be a great location for a tourny. We need info on where to launch and where we can run bass boats. I know it's somewhere around Elgin.

It must be a Wisconsin thing....I just don't get cold that easy. I could fish in waders till the river freezes around me. ;) I don't think the smallie fishing is all that great right now but I am very new to it. I just started fishing the river about two weeks or so ago. This is only my second smallie. I have no idea where you could put a bass boat in around elgin though; it is all very shallow. There is not much river that can not be done in waders down there.

It's all pounds and pounds of cheese that wisconsin people eat. Creates a cheese insulation in your feet and legs so you don't get cold. I wonder if I can insulate my house in cheese? Make a cheese cover for my boat when I winterize it. Put a layer of cheese under my Goretex jacket for ice fishing. Sounds Cheezy.

Rice is too messy. Oh that reminds me. I need to make some sticky white rice for lunch. If I eat too much cheese I can't poo for a week. I'm doing Long lake this weekend. That lake doesn't turn over. It has river cutting right through it. Supposed to be in the 60s this weekend. I might wear shorts and flipflops. J/K. I know the water is in the low 50s.

Nice fish! From the north river to algonquin and farther there are great smallies. The only place I haven't caught them is the south river yet. I don't really get down there very much. I landed three beautiful smallies this year on the chain, the biggest of course was in practice but I'd say it was around 3.25Lbs. The others were just under 3Lbs, one was during a wed night tourney that weighed 2.98lbs. Sorry, no pics, very nice fish though.
