Spring Grove Hatchery

The village of Spring Grove will be purchasing the hatchery from the state, we have created a board to make decisions on the use of the hatchery. Any ideas you have are welcome.

Also, there is a web page partnersinpreservation.com that I encourage you all to go to and vote for the Spring Grove Hatchery. This will allow funds from a grant to be allocated to the hatchery.

You can vote as often as once per day. I appreciate your support.

Do you have any info on what is being produced there now?

I was there last weekend. There is nothing in the hatchery, the incubators have been removed??? The ponds are all dry at present.

Our committee will be meeting for the first time next wednesday to table ideas for future use. There is interest in operating as a hatchery if it is cost prohibitive and can benefit local fisheries.
