Public fishing places gone bad

Well, chalk up another loss to a great access for fishing. Mentones in Antioch off Channel lake has been completely closed down now. It hasn't been open for some time, but i was able to launch FOR FREE there anytime i wanted. I was one of 3 people that knew about launching there. Now thanks to ill minded morons (and shore fisherman), they've called in the authorities. I was kicked outta there yesterday after i launched. He kindly told me to leave or he'd call the cops, so i got the hell outta there! It just ticks me off that people think they can vandalize and leave all their garbage laying around and expect to come back. During ice season everytime im out i'm pickin up trash off the ice, just so i can come back. Because i know that the homeowners or dnr or whomever will tell bar owners to restrict access to us for destroying the enviornment. Sorry for the rant, but hopefully this will reach alot of people and make them understand how i feel about this issue.

well we haven't fished a weekend tournament in a couple of weeks and it's not my call.
also, me and tommy saw a guy giving another one grief for fishing the wall there. the guy said if he gave him 5 bucks he would let him fish. the bucket refused. did he offer the same deal with you for launching? it sounds like he didn't.

Yea...that dude is charging $5.00 for shore fishermen now!!! I actually think he is SMART!

last year he was charging me to park and fish and whatnot. this time now though it's closed for good! too bad, i had a good spot with no waiting for launching! put the trolling motor down and go....all well!
