Well, here's a more detailed report of my first deep lake adventure of the year. Got out around 5pm on thursday last week. What a mad house! It was like being on the Chain on a weekend or something! Skiers flying around me, nobody showing any respect for anyone. Fished from the launch at the apartments across to the north bay. Nothin bitin in the deep weeds, tried shallow and caught some shorts on a swim jig. Around 7 it calmed down with the sun going down and the bugs coming out. The fishin got good. First good fish was a pig and the only pic i got.

This here girl came on a froggie in the pads. Absolutely tore outta there for it! Hit right next to the boat too! Weighed 4.13 on the digital. Looked every bit too! Tried the rest of the bay and caught no more. Strange! Fished the deep weed edge out from there and caught 4 more on senkos as the sun was fallin. They all were around 2-2.5lbs. Not bad for a lake i've really never fished much, even though i live right down the road!
