Hit my uncle's farm pond this weekend with Atitagian. Here are a few of my pics. We had a good day.

congrats! on the super nice fish, especially the slab:eek:.

what was the technique? worms?? spinner baits? I see you got one on a rattle trap!

what were the fishing doing.

The method was the rattle trap as you can see. and that was about it nothing difficult. just worked it really slow and wham! fish on, it was a blast. Minnows and slib bobber for the crappie, to me thats my best spring technique for the slabs.

Hey JayPee when do you start at the lake front for the largies and smallies I enjoy those reports.

I started at ice out...be out there at least 3-4 times a week...been doing the after work thing, and few sat. and sundays...NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT!

Have gone through all my usual spring patterns about 3 times...jerkbaits, football jigs, traps, drop shot, swimbaits, spinnerbaits, shakeyheads, hair jigs...haha I think you name it i have givin it a fair shot. ...nothing!

It really starting to wear on me.:mad:

I have had about 3 bites, 2 from very small bass that shook the hook before I could get them in:mad::mad:...and they came about 3 weeks ago:eek: and in a 10 min period.

and I hooked up with a nice steelhead on a dark green tube, by the time I got it up and saw what it was...it was too late...10lb flouro ...SNAP!:puke:

I wanna give up...but I won't, cause I know it gonna get hot soon...gulp, I hope:o

water temps are still very cold...last I checked...thursday (4-2-09)...it was 44-47 deg. depending on which side I took a temp on...we are getting there!:D

Yeh youll get em, you always do. Water still a bit cold. Thats awesome with the steelhead but liek you said if your not fishign for em your not prepared and usually always ends up in SNAP!! Well hope it starts sooner or later for you, cant wait for the reports.

Yeah that was a blast Nick! I was throwing a bill lewis rattletrap in same area and couldn't get a thing. Nick had 5 fish that went 16lbs. That 14.5" crappie topped off your day. You were the Man that day!

I have fished a few ponds in my area and haven't had much luck yet. And as far as slow reply, we are a little like the bass I have been after this year, SLOWWW !
