Chain Day Time Speed Limit

I went to the meeting at the Fox Waterway Agency on 2-14-08. There was more discussion on boat wake and noise then there was on speed. It appears there is a pretty good chance they will create a new no wake area on the river through at least Johnsburg. It didn't seem like there was much opposition to any new no wake areas. The waterway board is going to take the comments from those present and discuss new rules for the upcoming season. I believe they will present these new rules at the April meeting.

So...No speed limit??? That was such a bid deal prior to the meeting???? They didn't even address it? I can't believe the only outcome is to add a no wake....this is good news.
