Well, don't know what the other lakes are looking like, but with the waterway agency dropping the water levels, it hasn't done anything to the ice on Channel! Lot's of people out fishing, snowmobiling and just goofing off. . Glad I brought my snowmobile, because walking in that snow just sucked. Fished from about 3:30-4:45 and caught around 30 gills between two guys. Half were keepers with 6 nice crappies mixed in, biggest around 12" i'm thinking. Weird bite, fish would come up a foot or two, then sniff, then go back down or hit it. I thought a smaller demon jig would be the ticket, and it worked, but I suggested to my partner we try pimples. WOW! He never caught a fish on one, until his first 10 seconds of having it soaking. He used a blue/silver I had all silver and he creamed me on it, but I still caught them good on a demon. I'll get pictures on here soon enough. Damn that wind was cold!!! Don't be going out without bringing the shack! Might go to Geneva in the morning, not sure yet though....Over and out

its great to hear that me and james weren't the only ones crazy enough to go fishing today. Nice job out there ryan, regarding monday, gl if you go to bangs, and also gl if you end up going to geneva tmrrow. I'm probably going to drill some holes at some of the public lakes in my area and see if i can get any bass or cats to hit the tip ups.

I went out this morning and was searchin for a small hump out deep and never found. Spent about 1.5 hours just drillin and looking. I've got the Lakemaster chip for my lowrance gps and it sucks the big one. I've noticed on the Chain all the depth contours are off by alot and the only thing it's good for is give you a heads up as to whats out there. Very disappointed with it.... Otherwise Geneva is plenty safe even out deep. Some guys were saying out west it's a little hairy like west of the Narrows. Geneva Bay had about 100 guys and trucks out on it. Pretty cool sight! I'll be stayin local manana, gotta check on the walleyes!

Well, the walleye are not in my southern spot anymore.... Not really sure why, it's still pretty loaded with Sheeps.... Fished most of Pistakee bay, tried for gills + crappies and it was a slow to no go. Went to Channel and found the fish in a much better mood! :D Only fished for an hour and got some fishes for dinner.

Prime Time for walleyes! Bite lasts about 30-45 minutes usually no longer than 1 hour.
