Hey Julie

I hope all is going well with you

I first wanted to thank you for the opportunity for Skeeter Products to become involved with the Big Bucks Bass Tournament Trail. The tournament you represent is recognized by the marine industry as one of the better-run tournament organizations held in the marine marketplace. The incredible loyal-angler following that your organization has earned is second to none. As a part of our long-term strategy at Skeeter Boats, we recognize that the sponsorship of popular tournament trail provides us focused exposure to both the tournament bass boat angler and avid fishermen. Highly fished tournaments, such as yours, fall exactly into the caliber of grass roots tournaments we like to be involved and associated with.

However, Skeeter has had to make some changes due to budget restrictions for 2009 and unfortunately I regretfully have to bring the news that Skeeter will not be able to be involved in Big Bucks Bass Tournament Trail.
We hope that you understand that this decision is difficult for Skeeter to make, as opportunities to sponsor tournaments such as yours, are very few and far between in or business. Thanks again for the opportunity.

So,
I am thinking that the Championship will be a cash payout - holding back some of the tournament entry for the Championship.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call me

What a bummer. Hopefully they will get another boat sponsor.

We just talked about this with the G-M. post. If those guys pull out of the fishing industry, it just means bigger $$$$ to the winners. And I still think someone will jump in there to fill the spot. Doesn't make them bad guys, it's a simple cut-back we all see every day. Things will get better !! ;)

Isn't big bucks a Skeeter dealer? OUCH !!!

That is interesting......

I know Skeeter stepped up their sponsorship status with B.A.S.S. and the Federation Nation.

They are suppose to announce the sponsorship details at the Bassmaster Classic.

During the divisional, Skeeter ended up being the prize. I thought it was Triton, or is that a touchy subject ??

This is extremely unfortunate! The opportunity to fish for three boats in a championship field of 75 to 90 teams was incredible! I hope someone else steps up for BBB. They run an excellent circuit.

Now I'm kinda happy I didn't buy a Skeeter!

No not touchy. Triton is still a sponsor also.

Think of it as Gold Silver Bronze levels.

Triton was always the gold level. Last year they stepped back to the Silver level and put that money into the Weekend Series and Federation Nation.

Skeeter stepped up the Gold which is why you see their name at the classic all over the place.

I hope they can hang in there !!

With BBB running a Skeeter dealership, I wouldn't think that another boat line would come on board.

I for one would rather fish for $$$. You see all kinds of "boat won in tournament" ads on the net right now and you never get what the 1099 says the boat is worth.

I wonder how long they will still sell Skeeters after this decision?

I would assume there would be other boat builders interested!!! ...Bullet, Allison, Bumblebee, Basscat, G3, Legend, Triton....?
