Guys have asked us to put more pics on this site...so why not. I found this pic and story today about my partner and I....

It would be great to see US Anglers Choice (Chuck) complete full write-ups again after each tournament.....the guys don't have to give up the EXACT pattern they were on that day...but a good summary like this (which was all true!) is helpful to our sport and also to those whom would like to compete/and or had a bad day!

News Release
September 10, 2005

Sometimes timing is everything. The morning began on Fox Lake for Alex Velez and Tom Caruso with White Buzz Baits in front of thick weeds. The team was able to catch one fish but failed to connect on two big blow ups. As the morning gave way to the late summer's heat, frustration began set in for the anglers so they then headed south. It wasn't until 11:00am that Alex caught what turned out to be their big bass at 3.16lb on a 1/4 ounce black jig on a rock pile, but other than that the fish weren't biting and they knew they had to find a better location.

With only two hours remaining the team went back into Fox Lake where they had caught thier first fish of the day. Tom noted, "It's an unusually HOT and SUNNY day in September, we have to focus on those froggy fish!" Alex agreed and the team worked the thickest slop they could find in the area extremely slow with white & yellow scum frogs. The result was 3 more fish! Including another by the rookie, Alex, at over 3lbs. The team took the only limit, and were pleased to discover their late afternoon catches were enough to push them into 1st place and claim the $1,233 in prize money. Tom’s usual partner Leo Gubenko could not attend the tournament so instead this was Alex's second time pairing with Tom in the anglers choice circuit. Alex added "It's always exciting for me to fish these events, and it's great to have a more experienced boater like Tom to show me the ropes of tournament fishing." Tom’s Nitro is fully equipped with OPTIMA Batteries and is sponsored by BATTERIES UNLIMITED, INC. of Addison, IL
