JASPER, Texas - There was much talk of the legends of bass fishing this week during the FLW American Fishing Series event on Sam Rayburn Reservoir - from Tommy Martin to Larry Nixon to Jerry McKinnis, who all fished. Well I have not been on the website for a very long time, but thought I would drop by and tell the tale of my 2009 season on the Mississippi River (home water), Winnebago/Winneconne, Bays de noc, and The Detroit River.
If asked in May of 2009 how I thought my season would turn out, I'd say eh... who knows? I had high optimism, especially for my Jr. Club stuff and co angler bfl stuff but I had no idea what kind of success was knocking at my door........
How great has living in wisconsin been the past three years! We've had open water till mid November giving us crazy fisherpeople more time to do what we love, FISH!!!!!!!!

I really do not want to date myself, so we won't mention the lack of quality gear I had at my disposal (best stick i could find to tie a line to), but the fishing was always good and I could play hockey if I got board.
